My blog was Eyes on the Prize and all during the training, I had my eyes and hopes on crossing that finish line (I even praticed my pose!) Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I have decided not to be bitter and complain about it. Someone quoted a passage from the Bible earlier Saturday night that said "to everything there is a seasona ..." This was my season to get healthier, happier, more confident and more determined. My season to finish a marathon is yet to come!! But I will "fight aI good fight, keep the faith and finish the course" next time.
If anyone should ask was it worth it? Did I enjoy the training? Was it worth it? YES!!! I thank each of you for your smiles, support, encouragement and friendship. I am especially proud of my wife and daughter, because I saw up-close how far you both came. YOU GIRLS ROCK!!!!

Your Girls were outstanding and so were You! We all did well considering the situation.
It was a grand experience and I'm hoping the body will be ready for it next year.

Floyd,
It was SO nice knowing you were always close by me during the marathon. We must have been going pretty much the same pace. I have enjoyed seeing you and your wonderful family every week in training. I am so impressed that you all have stuck it out together.
We were both disappointed that we weren't allowed to finish but we have nothing to regret. Hope to see you all in the coming weeks out on the streets!
Take care,
jana
Great blog and great attitude! You will be twice as ready for it next year!
I've always enjoyed seeing your family on Saturdays. Maybe it was the family training together, maybe the fact that Morgan is attending my Alma Mater (Murrah) and in the Band like I was.
Either way, I hope ya'll will continue with MM, if not the MS Blues in Jan, maybe next year's Chicago trip.

We are all disappointed and we are slowly but surely getting "over it". I agree with you about all the benefits we have rec'd from this whole experience. You and "yuur girls" have been an inspiration have been a wonderful example of strong family ties...hey, a family that runs together has fun together. :) You did a great job with your comments at the pasta dinner on Saturday night. Hope to see y'all out there again soon. Cheryl
