We are enjoying the experience we're having with Marathon Makeover, but Saturday afternoons have really slowed down around our house. The day usually plays out like this. We get up and drink some fluids and maybe share an energy bar, then we're out the door and off to complete the run. After we get home, we stagger into the house, shower and cook and eat breakfast and then we all pile around the tv in the den on either a sofa or recliner. We make sure to get the remote, bottles of water, Advil, and a cordless phone close to somebody's chair. Ther isn't a lot of movement 'round our place come Saturday afternoons.
I like to watch sports, but if one of the women folk puts the remote on Lifetime, I just get in touch with my sensitive side and watch. Hey, life's too short and I'm too sore to fuss.

Floyd,
This MM thing has definitely put a damper on Saturdays, and even Sundays after church!
A little dose of your "sensitive" side can't hurt too much, BUT just a little dose - then back to sports or action films!

Hey Floyd- The Lifechange Marathon Makeover is supposed to change you - for the better! I think having to watch the lifetime channel would be a deal breaker for me! You guys are too funny...I do enjoy seeing both of y'all out there- take care..
I love it!! Floyd, I just can't see you watching Lifetime. I think you're actually napping.
I have a worn spot on the carpet in front of the tv where I lay down with the remote, the ice pack, a bottle of water and at least one of 3 dogs by my side. Yes, Saturday afternoons are a bit layed back compared to Saturday mornings!

Nothing wrong with having a sensistive side. You're a smart man!
I agree. I am pretty worthless Saturday afternoons. I keep thinking it will get better, but as the distances get longer, I might have to just face up to the idea that Saturdays are "lost" days once the run is over.
Sounds familiar! I can relate to your lazy Saturdays!
Oh yeah, you painted the picture that describes me on Sat. afternoons! I work full-time and then some and NEED Saturdays to get "stuff done". Well, the stuff will just have to wait until after October...MM comes first. It is awesome that you 3 are doing this together...a family that runs together, crashes together!
Yep, sounds familiar, although, the longer we do this the easier it is. My trick is to keep moving if I need to do something. If I stop, it's all over! Your body will tell you when it's time to stop and rest. You must need the rest if you don't have the strength to turn it off of Lifetime - haha!
